The Great War

Following on the commercial success of firsttofight's Vietnam ASL series, an ambitious five-part series of ASL modules depicting combat in the First World War was released in 2010. According to the marketing copy presented on ebay:

The massive conflict known as World War I or “The Great War” was supposed to be a war to end all wars. It did not happen, of course, but instead laid the foundation for another great war only 20 years later and then a cold war that would go on for almost half a century. It was a war that numbered in military men and women sixty-five million, with over fifteen million military and civilian deaths. It sucked into its vortex 22 countries and was fought not only the fields of France, but deserts, mountains, land sea and air.

The modules were announced in the listing for Module 1as follows:

Module 1: Landships and Tommies
Module 2
: Doughboys and Devildogs
Module 3
: Diggers and Turks
Module 4
: Audace!
Module 5
